I read a fun article at Aftermath titled
I’ve Had The Same PC Speakers For 20 Years, Almost My Entire Adult Life.[1] The author talks about his 20-year old Logitech X-530 computer speakers, which he purchased at a video game store in 2004. This originally inspired me to write an article about Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, which he described having bought at around the same time. I figured that I would write about my oldest computer peripheral while I was in the area. My oldest computer-related/adjacent device is a Newpoint Switcher 3000 Plus, which I covered in an article with a photo.[2] We got it when I was a kid with a Windows 95 tower back in late 1996 or early 1997. While I have not put it to desktop power duty in at least a decade, I still use it as a switch for powering an old laptop that is moonlighting as a desktop computer and some other smaller devices.
My question to the forum: What is your longest-serving computer peripheral? For the purpose of this question, let's define "your longest serving" as being in your possession, not merely the oldest device you have. I also think we should exclude video game consoles and peripherals since I think those fall under a different category than the speaker story, but if you have a fun one to share -- by all means.
