Mushroom Color Atlas
I came across a fun website called Mushroom Color Atlas.
URL: https://www.mushroomcoloratlas.com/
As the name suggests, it presents colors for 825 mushrooms with a nice UI. You can click on the color to learn more about the mushroom in question.

Your Oldest Computer Peripheral
I read a fun article at Aftermath titled I’ve Had The Same PC Speakers For 20 Years, Almost My Entire Adult Life .[1] The author talks about his 20-year old Logitech X-530 computer speakers, which he purchased at a video game store in 2004. This originally inspired me to write an article about Harve...

Re: RSS directory
AlternativeTo.net News https://feed.alternativeto.net/news/all/ AlternativeTo is one of my favorite resources for discovering new software and services to try. They publish 1-2 short news articles each day. Nothing special but it's a nice additional resource to pick up some stories you may otherwis...

Re: Stract: Open Source Search Engine With Its Own Crawler and "Optics"
Interesting, they seem to have written their own crawler and everything, pretty impressive. Also the search engine works very well without JavaScript. The only thing I noted didn't work with JS is the ability to boost or discard domains using a GUI. But you can still write rules and have them work ...

Re: RSS directory
New recommendation: Time Extension RSS This site focuses on retro games and hardware designed to run/emulate retro games. It also has some game history investigations and interviews. I only recently came across it when it was liked by another site and added it to my feed list -- but I like what I ha...

Stract: Open Source Search Engine With Its Own Crawler and "Optics"
Stract is an open source and non-commercial search engine with its own crawler and independent index. I was inspired to share it by Search Engine Experiment . Stract Home Git Repository While Stract is promising for being both open source and having its own independent index, what makes it relevant ...

Re: UNIX story in Junichi Masuda manga
Very interesting! I wonder which type of unix machine they were using. The IPSJ computer museum has a page on Unix machines in japan in the 1980s to early 2000s (https://museum.ipsj.or.jp/en/computer/unix/history.html). Your resource inspired me to find the answer (https://www.cnet.com/tech/gaming/...

UNIX story in Junichi Masuda manga
I found a good OS manga reference. The information comes from a translation of an interview with Juinichi Masuda on the development of the original Pokémon Red and Green. Masuda was in charge of the music for Red and Green (as well as subsequent Pokémon games)... but he unexpectedly had to undertake...
