Yes, exactly. At least when it comes to Firefox-based browsers, I have not tested with Chromium yet.

You know this actually reminds me a lot of XSLT. XLST were basically XML template files that you could use to transform XML files in one format into a different XML format. Years ago (decades ago even) some sites would use XSLT to style RSS feeds. You can read more about them on the Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XSLT?useskin=vector.

I threw together an XSLT for my RSS feed (https://yukinu.com/feed/styledrss.xml, actually a separate feed since I cut out the content sections in this feed). Firefox will natively render the stylesheet on that XML file. Quite a neat technology, I wish a lot of these XML technologies took off more than they did.

A list of small tech sites with feeds from my collection that are not already in the blogroll:

----
Nicole Express
https://nicole.express/
https://nicole.express/feed.xml
Comment: Articles on tinkering with old video game tech from consoles to arcade machines. The site has a clean design and no ads.

----
Shumplations
https://shmuplations.com/
http://shmuplations.com/feed/
Comment: Translations of Japanese game developer interviews. Shumplations has provided me with plenty of article prompts at The New Leaf Journal.

----
Ambient Irony
https://ai.mee.nu/
https://ai.mee.nu/feed/atom
Comment: Daily tech links from a system admin with commentary. Site has a distinctly right-of-center political perspective. Sometimes touches on anime (not as much as it used to, however) and Hololive (still don't really understand it -- my own note).

----
Liliputing
https://liliputing.com/
https://liliputing.com/feed/
https://liliputing.com/feed/atom/
Comment: One-man site focusing on news in SBCs and mobile devices. I appreciate the e-ink news. However, do note that it has one post each day with daily deals and affiliate links (I find it useful since it keeps me abreast of new Humble Bundles, but mileage may vary).

----
Perishable Press
https://perishablepress.com/
https://perishablepress.com/feed
https://perishablepress.com/feed/atom

Personal blog of WordPress developer Jeff Starr. Most posts are about WordPress (some about web development more generally), but he occasionally posts commentary on social media, free speech, or random notes (his assessment of games, for example). Will add that he's a nice guy who responds to emails and comments.

----
Tedium
https://tedium.co/
https://feed.tedium.co/

Site featuring long-form articles on topics of interest to the author (I dare say that is my thing...). Most, but not all, of the posts are about tech. I don't find all of the posts interesting or agreeable, but the articles are well-researched and cite sources, so they are often the beginning of learning about something rather than the end.

Here's a Ghacks's Firefox and Linux RSS feeds. Ghacks is a pretty decent resource for Firefox news and various tips for tweaking the browser (you can use ddg site search to find some of their old FF articles: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site%3Aghacks.net+firefox). They also include the full article in their feed, and split their articles into multiple separate feeds (all of there feeds are available at https://www.ghacks.net/ghacksnet-feed-list/).

New recommendation:

Time Extension
RSS
This site focuses on retro games and hardware designed to run/emulate retro games. It also has some game history investigations and interviews. I only recently came across it when it was liked by another site and added it to my feed list -- but I like what I have read so far.

AlternativeTo.net News

https://feed.alternativeto.net/news/all/

AlternativeTo is one of my favorite resources for discovering new software and services to try. They publish 1-2 short news articles each day. Nothing special but it's a nice additional resource to pick up some stories you may otherwise miss for one reason or another.
